These are the world’s 7 most luxe hotel gyms

Let’s be honest — staying fit and healthy when you’re traveling is hard. The last thing you feel like doing is staring at a wall in a stuffy hotel gym when you could be out sightseeing and tasting all the delicious local cuisine! Plus, all the walking you do when you’re in a new
destination totally counts as exercise! That said, if you have specific fitness goals (for example, to gain muscle mass or lose body fat), walking unfortunately probably isn’t going to do the trick. The solution?

Stay in a hotel that happens to have a stunning (and well-equipped) gym! Not only will you actually enjoy working out there, but they happen to make great subject material for Instagram snaps.

Read on for 7 of the world’s most luxe hotel gyms.

1. Matakauri Lodge, New Zealand
Nothing makes burpees feel more bearable than a majestic view of snow-peaked mountains—and this is exactly what you get in this pristine gym overlooking Lake Wakatipu. They also have an outdoor pool with equally spectacular views where you can cool off after your workout.

2. Corinthia, London, UK
Much like the rest of this hotel, the ESPA Life gym at Corinthia is so luxurious, it’s hard to believe it actually exists! Elegant interiors aside, it’s actually a fantastic place to work out—packed with the latest state-of- the-art equipment. You can also choose to work out privately in your hotel room, thanks to their ‘Wellness On Demand’ program.

3. Sofitel Brisbane, Australia
With ceiling-to- floor windows, this gym on the 30th floor offers one of the best panoramic views of the Queensland city. The equipment is pretty top notch, too, including their Virtual Gym Instructor touch screen feature to help you work that little bit harder.

4. W San Francisco, USA
You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d just walked into a nightclub when you arrive at this chic hotel gym. By night, the entire gym is flooded by stunning metallic lights— which combined with the pumping beats, helps rev you up throughout your workout.

5. La Mamonuia, Marrakech
This palatial hotel is world famous for its incredible interiors and breathtaking views and the fitness centre is no exception. From the cobalt blue walls to the sleek and modern equipment and view of the sprawling 20-acre gardens, you’ll never want to leave this stylish gym!

6. Earth Lodge, South Africa
You’re running on the treadmill and all of a sudden, a lion appears in front of you. No, it’s not a scene from a weird dream—it’s an actual possibility at this hotel gym in South Africa. The gym provides an uninhibited field of view of the unfenced lodge, so animals can
wander up to the window!

7. Four Seasons, Hualei, Hawaii
Let’s face it, nobody wants to be stuck inside when they’re in beautiful Hawaii. That’s exactly what makes this luxe gym at the Four Seasons so perfect — it has an outdoors strength and cardio section. There’s also a 24-foot climbing wall, 25-metre lap pool and pilates centre, so there’s something to suit every fitness style.
